What is glycogen?

Definition: Glycogen is the main direction of glucose in the body is stored for later use. There is a large molecule that is produced in the liver, but also stored in adipose and muscle cells. After intake of carbohydrates, more glycogen produced and released the glucose levels in the blood drop. Low-carb diets deplete glycogen first, albeit sometimes any weight loss diet has the same effect. As glycogen molecules little water is added, a couple of "water weight" in any weight loss diet is lost. Glycogen partially then replaced.
