Fresh Ginger - Tips for storage and use

Updated on 26 June 2010.

The best advice I had for the use and storage of ginger root is always the simple secret: keep in the freezer (I use a zip-type bag). This means:

  • It is very light and finely ground (a grater will do, although I like the best way Microplane)
  • You do not need to peel! I'm not kidding. So good to make dander Do not worry, meaning
  • Much less waste, so it takes longer.
Try it out, and it will, I guarantee. All the problems is required in cooperation with fresh ginger, and not end up biting pieces of ginger in your food.

One tablespoon fresh ginger has a gram of carbohydrate and much taste.
